SHNA requests that the city pause the permitting process for the Sheetz and address:
Compliance with the Richmond 300 Plan & consequences for its implementation
Need for a Traffic Impact Analysis specific to this application with focus on pedestrian and bicyclist safety
Impact to existing independent businesses through loss of parking and encroachment on outdoor dining space
Environmental impacts including increased polluted runoff, litter, noise, and light pollution
The project site’s mismatch with Sheetz, Inc.’s own real estate guidelines
Alternatives to a Sheetz that do agree with the Master Plan including creative solutions through city partnership and with public input
